- :-) My own experience with 28.8 Hayes modems has been more positive.
- Currently I am using a Hayes Accura 288B internal fax/modem and I have
- found it to be very fast, reliable and compatible with the software which
- I use. When configuring the modem settings for any communication program,
- if all else fails, I select the "Hayes Compatible" setting and my Accura
- works like a champ. Both my acquaintances and myself have found Hayes
- Accura and Optima modems to be very sturdy "workhorse" modems. I have also
- noticed that Hayes modems are not discussed often in this newsgroup which
- might indicate that most folks who use Hayes modems and use this group are
- having few problems with them. I have also used the 28.8 AT&T Comsphere
- modem which I also like.
